The study into the working poor instigated by the Human Rights Commission, shows the most vulnerable includes single parents, Maori and Pacific people, disabled people and renters. The Equal Employment Opportunities Commissioner Karanina Sumeo says it’s the first time in depth and detailed research is being done on the working poor.
4.A new report has found many farm animals are suffering in muddy confined spaces with people often ignoring the problem and officials aren’t sure what to do about it. The comments came in a report by a special Government appointed task force on winter grazing.
