The National Party leader says he believes tourism to White Island should be allowed to resume in time; and the Justice Minister says recommendations from an overdue review of the last general election are far too late to be acted on for the next one.
1.The police have confirmed another person has died following the eruption on Whakaari / White Island, bringing the official death toll to six.The person was earlier being treated at Middlemore Hospital. The Ministry of Health (MOH) ealier said of the 31 people who were in hospital following the eruption on Monday, 25 are in burns units in Christchurch, Hutt Valley, Waikato and Middlemore Hospitals.
