Olympic canoe slalom silver medallist Luuka Jones knows the Tokyo Olympics will be “totally different” from the last three Games she’s competed in – and it’s not because of Covid-19.

After being named in the New Zealand team for Tokyo, Jones told Ravinder Hunia going into the Olympics as the world championships’ bronze medallist puts new pressure on her at the start-line. And this time, she’ll be competing in both the K1 and C1 white-water events.

Six New Zealand cities will host games in next year’s Cricket World Cup, with the final in Christchurch on March 7. White Ferns captain Sophie Devine and former World Cup winner Debbie Hockley talk about what New Zealand, as host, will bring to the event.

In other news, Lisa Adams is in world record-breaking form in her lead-up to the Tokyo Paralympics; snowboarder Zoi Sadowski-Synnott wins her second X Games gold; and Ravinder gives her rundown on the spectacular UFC 248 straw-weight title fight between Weili Zhang and Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
