LISTEN: This week’s Extra Time podcast looks at where the Silver Ferns sit in their return to international netball.

The Silver Ferns are finally back on court adjusting to life without retired legend of the game Laura Langman. But how are the world netball champions shaping up for their three-test series against Commonwealth Games champions England?

Just out of quarantine, England are without many of their big-name players, and their coach is back at home after testing positive for Covid-19.

The Silver Ferns, meanwhile, are in a four-day series with the NZ Men, NZ A and NZ U21, but have yet to meet coach Dame Noeline Taurua’s high expectations.

In Extra Time we talk with Kiri Wills from the Silver Ferns coaching staff on the challenges ahead and we’re also joined by Suzanne McFadden from LockerRoom and RNZ’s Bridget Tunnicliffe.

Also on this week’s podcast, Dame Valerie Adams shakes things up on the shot put scene ahead of next year’s Tokyo Olympics.

And the two Scotts – New Zealanders Scott Dixon and Scott McLaughlin – are front and centre in the final round of the Indycar Champs in the United States, with Dixon chasing his sixth title and McLaughlin set to make his debut in Florida.
