In a week overwhelmed with sports suspensions and cancellations around the globe, netball’s elite domestic league, the ANZ Premiership, is on schedule to continue this weekend with “no fans in stands”.
But Sky Sport News reporter Ravinda Hunia asked Netball NZ CEO Jennie Wyllie why the competition wasn’t put on hold, in keeping with community netball throughout the country?
Wyllie says the teams are under strict medical protocol in the lead-up to the games, and players will not travel or play if they are unwell. Netball NZ will continue to listen to government advice on whether they should continue the competition, but for now the three games in Round Two will go ahead.
